Typically you can forget about replacement wiper blades in the auto parts store, but you can even have them at a cheaper price in your local auto repair shop or hardware store. 

This can be done by informing you about the type of make and model you drive, and what makes and models it drives. 

First, the wiper arm must be pulled away from the windscreen to fix the elevated position. Look for a small tab or button on the right side of the wiper blade where it meets the wiper arm. Pull the arm of your wiper blade away from the driver's side, look for the small flaps or buttons at the top and bottom of each blade and pull the arms of both blades away from the window. When the blades are replaced or the old winding blades are removed, the new blades bring both arms into a relaxed position in the glass windscreen. 

Press the tab and you hear a clicking noise, and it detaches the knives from your arms so you can pull them down. Pull the new wiper blades firmly into your arm and press the tabs until they open and close. 

A good windscreen and good wiper blades are essential to prevent accidents, and better visibility means less risk. If there are signs that the rubber sheets are cracked or weathered, squeak against the glass or leave streaks or areas of the windshield untouched, it is time to change the sheets. It is a good idea to test the new blades for possible problems that could be discovered in the next rainstorm. 

Even if everything seems fine, the National Highway Transportation Board recommends changing wiper blades at least once a year, ideally every six months.

It is much easier to install a new leaf on a sunny afternoon than on an icy night by the roadside. Some winter wiper blades are even equipped with spikes to break the ice, but they are not ideal for winter rides. 

With metal arms, windshield wipers with rubber blades push snow and rain out of the windshield. You can prevent your windscreen wiper from freezing by placing a towel or piece of fabric over or above it. Lift the wiper arms to keep the rubber away from the cold glass and snow and place it in a warm place. 

When the metal comes into contact with the windscreen, it can scratch the glass and cause damage to the windscreen wipers and rubber blades. 

The scratches can eventually develop into deep grooves, and the only option is to replace the entire windshield. If you need a replacement, pull out the old wipers when they stick to the car, snow scrapes the windscreen or you need to get them out of the way. The rubber on your windscreen wiper can degrade over time, especially when the sun sets on you. 

The blade of the wiper rotates so that you can see the hinge that connects the two and the small tab that is attached to it. 

Remove the old windshield wiper by pressing it with your right hand and pulling out the tab. As you may have guessed, you need to pull out the flaps and push out the blade so that it detaches completely from the arm of the Wipers. As soon as you hear it click, pull it up, and attach the new blade by sticking the wiper arm through the opening in the middle of the blade. 

Repeat with the other arm and lower the arm into the windshield and press the opening in the middle of the blade to secure it.

However, the leaves can also become weak and lose their tension on the glass, causing them to bend in the windscreen.
